TL;DR
Five verifiers were send-tested against DeBounce on the same 1,000 real-estate decision-maker emails sourced from Apollo, and six more are priced only.
- DeBounce: the lowest bounce rate of the six tools in our test (0.15%), and the most rejections (330).
- WizLeads: approved 852, the most of the five tools under 1% bounce, at a $19.50 unit cost per 10,000.
- LeadMagic: 822 approved, unknown results free, about 2.5 times WizLeads' unit cost at entry tiers.
- NeverBounce: 711 approved at 0.56% bounce, a 3% bounce guarantee and credits that last 12 months.
- MillionVerifier: 709 approved at 0.99% bounce, one-time packs from $39, and $449 per million.
- ZeroBounce: the most approvals of the six (888), and the only bounce rate over 1% (3.72%).
- Reoon and Truelist: the lowest pack prices at 10,000 ($11.90 and $14), with no send test.
- Bouncer, Emailable, Clearout and Kickbox: $60 to $70 for 10,000, with no send test.
- DeBounce, if you stay: $25 for 10,000, and credits that never expire.
Which DeBounce alternative fits depends on why you are leaving. DeBounce posted the lowest bounce rate in our send test: 1 bounce on 670 approved addresses, 0.15%, though it rejected 330 of 1,000 and our run used its standard check only. The WizLeads verifier that classifies catch-alls approved 852 at 0.59%, and the five alternatives approved between 709 and 888.
People who search for a DeBounce alternative usually have one of three reasons. DeBounce did not approve enough of a cold B2B list, resolving its catch-alls costs extra credits, or another tool costs less at their volume. Each reason points to a different tool below.
DeBounce comes first as the baseline and carries no rank. The five send-tested alternatives follow one rule: among those under 1% bounce, the most approved addresses first, then the one tool over 1%. DeBounce and the four alternatives under 1% are statistically indistinguishable on bounce rate at this sample size, so approvals separate them. The six priced-only tools follow pack price at 10,000, with the smaller minimum purchase first on a tie.
How we tested the six verifiers
We took 1,000 real-estate decision-maker emails sourced from Apollo in April 2026 and ran them through six verifiers on the same day, inside two hours. We then mailed only the addresses at least one tool approved, with a plain-text message from a clean Google Workspace account, and counted hard bounces over 72 hours. The email verification benchmark write-up holds the method and the dataset.
| Tool | Approved | Bounces | Bounce rate | Rejected |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DeBounce | 670 | 1 | 0.15% | 330 |
| WizLeads | 852 | 5 | 0.59% | 148 |
| LeadMagic | 822 | 7 | 0.85% | 178 |
| NeverBounce | 711 | 4 | 0.56% | 289 |
| MillionVerifier | 709 | 7 | 0.99% | 291 |
| ZeroBounce | 888 | 33 | 3.72% | 112 |
Bounce rate is bounces divided by the addresses a tool approved. Our run used DeBounce's standard check only, not its paid catch-all step.
Three limits travel with the table. We mailed only addresses at least one tool approved, and each bounce rate counts only that tool's own approvals, so the table shows how much each tool rejected, not how much it rejected wrongly. On 1,000 addresses the difference between 4 bounces and 7 is noise, and only ZeroBounce's 33 separates from the rest. It is also one list, in one vertical, from one month.
DeBounce review: the baseline, with the lowest bounce rate and the most rejections

DeBounce approved 670 addresses, 1 bounced (0.15%), and it rejected 330, a third of the list. DeBounce leads on bounce rate: its 0.15% is the lowest of the six tools in our test. WizLeads (0.59%) and NeverBounce (0.56%) bounced more, though all five tools under 1% sit within noise at this sample size.
By DeBounce's own labels, the 330 were 201 Accept All, 90 Bounce (its invalid verdict), 36 Unreachable (its unknown status), 1 Spamtrap and 2 with no result. We mailed only addresses at least one tool approved, so some of the 330 went out on another tool's approval, and the run does not grade DeBounce's rejections as right or wrong. DeBounce's help centre says an accept-all address has no definitive way to be called valid or invalid. It also says accept-all and unknown results on a purchased or inherited list are likely to be weak.
DeBounce email verification is sold as pay-as-you-go credits. DeBounce's pricing page lists 5,000 credits for $15, then $25 for 10,000, $135 for 100,000 and $750 for 1,000,000. Credits never expire, and a new account gets 100 free credits once. Its billing help says the standard check costs 1 credit per email, and the pricing page says duplicates are removed at no extra cost.
DeBounce states the price of its catch-all step two ways. Its pricing page says 10 credits per validation, while its help centre says 10 additional credits per email, which makes 11 in total. The catch-all page promises 95% accuracy for catch-all emails without a published method, and the help article calls the result an estimate. Resolving a catch-all address takes separate work.
As an illustration, not a general rate, take 10,000 addresses with the same 20.1% Accept All share as our list, which is 2,010 addresses. At 10 additional credits each, that is 30,100 credits, about $52.20 on DeBounce's slider at the next 1,000 step, against $25 for the standard pass. If the 10 credits are the whole charge for those addresses, it is 28,090 credits, about $49.80. Our 201 of 1,000 is one list, and your share will differ.
DeBounce's guarantee page promises a 97.5% or better deliverability rate, adds credits when accuracy falls short, and refunds everything above 8% bounces. The list "must not have been purchased from a 3rd party", and it must go out in a batch of at least 1,000 addresses within 48 hours. A cold list pulled from a data vendor is third-party data, so read that clause against how yours was sourced. The page also says DeBounce has no guarantee for finding spam traps, and verification catches dead addresses, not pristine traps.
DeBounce's own pages state the thresholds differently. The homepage says 97%, the help centre gives 96%+ for AOL, Yahoo and Office 365, and the guarantee page gives 95%+ for Microsoft accounts.
DeBounce's bulk API needs your own file host: a public HTTPS URL ending .csv or .txt, with Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive links not supported. Files must be under 20MB and up to 200,000 emails, and one bulk job runs at a time per account. The dashboard takes an upload directly. The API allows 5 concurrent calls, or 2 with data enrichment on.
The five send-tested DeBounce alternatives
WizLeads: 852 approved, the most of the five tools under 1% bounce

WizLeads approved 852, 5 bounced (0.59%), and it rejected 148. That is 182 more approvals than DeBounce, and the two bounce rates sit within noise of each other. DeBounce (0.15%) and NeverBounce (0.56%) bounced less. In the run, WizLeads flagged 212 addresses as catch-alls and still returned valid or invalid on each of them.
Verify Email costs 0.5 credits for every email processed, whatever the result. Freelancer is $39 a month for 10,000 credits, which covers 20,000 verifications. That is $19.50 per 10,000 as a unit cost, though a one-off 10,000-address job bills $39, so DeBounce's $25 is lower for that job.
Credits roll over for one billing period, a month on monthly plans and a quarter on quarterly ones. That is less forgiving than DeBounce's never-expire credits if you verify in bursts. If the bounce rate exceeds 2% on emails WizLeads marked valid, it returns your credits, not cash, subject to an email infrastructure diagnosis.
The API allows 10 calls per second across all endpoints, and the batch endpoint takes the CSV as an upload. WizLeads fits teams that verify cold B2B lists every month and want more addresses kept.
LeadMagic: 822 approved, with unknown results free

LeadMagic approved 822, 7 bounced (0.85%), and it rejected 178. That is 152 more approvals than DeBounce. Like WizLeads, it returned valid or invalid on catch-all addresses in the run.
On LeadMagic's pricing page, Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits. Validation costs 0.25 credits, so that covers 20,000 validations: $49.50 per 10,000 as a unit cost, about 2.5 times WizLeads' $19.50 at entry tiers. Ultimate is $849 a month for 100,000 credits, a $21.23 unit cost per 10,000. Its validation page says unknown results are free and inconclusive catch-alls stay Unknown.
Monthly plans keep credits up to twice the monthly allotment, and annual credits refresh yearly with no rollover. There are no free credits. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires or a signed agreement says otherwise. Pick it for steady monthly volume where free unknowns matter more than the higher entry cost.
NeverBounce: 711 approved and a 3% bounce guarantee

NeverBounce approved 711, 4 bounced (0.56%), and it rejected 289. Of those 289, 79 came back unknown. That is 41 more approvals than DeBounce, and its bounce rate sits within noise of DeBounce's.
NeverBounce's pricing page sells pay as you go from 1,000 credits for $8. It lists $50 for 10,000, $400 for 100,000 and $2,500 for 1,000,000, and credits expire 12 months after purchase. The Growth subscription runs from $49 a month for up to 10,000 emails to $999 for up to a million. The Growth card also lists AI scoring and 200 AI-picked leads a month, so it is not a verification-only plan.
Its billing help says "1 Credit = 1 Email Verification", with no exception stated for unknown or accept-all results. New accounts get 10 free credits. The guarantee promises no more than 3% bounces on the emails it marks deliverable and refunds the difference above that, for lists of at least 500 unique addresses cleaned within 72 hours of mailing, with freemail domains excluded. Pick it if your list came from a data vendor and you want a bounce guarantee whose listed conditions carry no opt-in rule, or a first purchase smaller than DeBounce's 5,000 credits.
MillionVerifier: 709 approved, with one-time packs

MillionVerifier approved 709, 7 bounced (0.99%), and it rejected 291. That is 39 more approvals than DeBounce. MillionVerifier flags catch-alls without saying whether they are valid or invalid; its 170 catch_all flags stayed unresolved in our run. Its own pages claim a catch-all verifier that resolves 30% to 40% of catch-alls (service page) and up to 70% to 80% improvement in catch-all and business unknown results (beta help page), and we did not test either.
MillionVerifier's pricing section lists one-time packs of 10,000 credits for $39, 100,000 for $149 and 1,000,000 for $449, and its help centre says there are no monthly plans. Since 19 October 2026 the operator is Southern Vector Limited in Christchurch, New Zealand, per its Terms. Credits don't expire, with an inactivity clause: an account idle for 12 months can be removed after one month's notice, and removal does not forfeit the credits.
Free credits depend on the page. Its homepage says 100 free credits, and its help page lists 500 with a business email, up to 10,000 through an integration, or 2,000 for $4.90. MillionVerifier deducts one credit per email, then adds credits back for unknown and catch-all results. The homepage calls that a "Full refund on any email we can't verify with certainty", and its Terms call it "a discretionary promotional goodwill programme".
Pick it for large cleans where you plan to drop catch-alls anyway. At 1,000,000 its $449 pack is below DeBounce's $750.
ZeroBounce: 888 approved at 3.72% bounce

ZeroBounce approved 888, the most of the six tools, and it rejected 112. It returned valid or invalid on catch-alls in the run. Of those 888 approvals, 33 bounced (3.72%), which is 218 more approvals and 32 more bounces than DeBounce. It is the only bounce rate in the test that separates from the rest.
ZeroBounce's pricing page sells pay as you go from 2,000 credits for $39. It lists $129 for 10,000, $649 for 100,000 and $3,199 for 1,000,000, and ZeroBounce ONE starts at $99 a month. Unknown results are never charged, and AI scoring costs one extra credit per address.
The pricing page says credits never expire, with a tooltip that limits this: "With an active ZeroBounce ONE subscription. Otherwise, terms and conditions apply." Its Terms add a two-year expiry for credits bought by customers who registered after 1 June 2026. Pay-as-you-go purchases are final and non-refundable. Pick it only if the most approvals matter more than a bounce rate over 1%.
Six more verifiers, priced but not send-tested
None of these six was in our send test, so there is no approved count or bounce rate for them. They are ordered by pack price at 10,000, with the smaller minimum purchase first on a tie.
Reoon: the lowest pack price at 10,000

Reoon's email verifier page lists $11.90 for 10,000 credits, $116.40 for 100,000 and $972 for 1,000,000, and credits never expire. Every result except unknown costs one credit, and unknown results are refunded automatically. Free use is 20 daily credits, up to 600 verifications a month, plus 100 instant credits.
Truelist: the second-lowest pack price at 10,000

Truelist's pricing page charges $14 for 10,000, $90 for 100,000 and $700 for 1,000,000, and credits never expire. A definitive verdict costs 1 credit. Enhanced catch-all resolution costs 3 credits and applies only where the standard check returns unknown.
Bouncer: $60 for 10,000, from an $8 minimum

Bouncer's pricing page lists $8 for 1,000 credits, its minimum, then $60 for 10,000, $400 for 100,000 and $2,000 for 1,000,000. Credits never expire. It says it never charges for duplicates or unknown results, and new accounts get 100 free credits. The page does not say how catch-all results are billed.
Emailable: $60 for 10,000, from a $38 minimum

Emailable's pricing page lists $38 for 5,000 credits, its minimum, then $60 for 10,000, $420 for 100,000 and $2,100 for 1,000,000. Subscribing takes 15% off. Credits never expire, though its Terms let an account idle for more than 12 months be deleted with its credits forfeited. Credits spent on unknown results and duplicates are returned, and new accounts get 250 free credits, but the page does not say how catch-all results are billed.
Clearout: $65 for 10,000 one time

Clearout's pricing page sells one-time credits at $65 for 10,000, $400 for 100,000 and $1,400 for 1,000,000. A monthly plan is $58 for 10,000 credits, or $32 a month billed annually. Its pricing guide says valid, invalid and catch-all results cost one credit each, unknowns and duplicates are free, purchased credits never expire and unused subscription credits roll over. New users get 100 free credits.
Kickbox: $70 for 10,000, from a $5 minimum

Kickbox's pricing page lists $5 for 500 verifications, $10 for 1,000, $70 for 10,000, $500 for 100,000 and $2,999 for 1,000,000. Unknown results are refunded, and new accounts get 100 free verifications. Kickbox's agreement says credits "automatically expire one (1) year from the date of purchase". The page does not say how catch-all results are billed.

*Unit costs, not bills: what a plan's credits cost per volume, pro rata. A 10,000-address job on WizLeads Freelancer bills $39, and one on LeadMagic Essential bills $99. Kingpin quarterly is $1,199 for 2,000,000 verifications, and LeadMagic Ultimate holds 400,000 validations a month. Every other row is a pack price.
At 10,000, DeBounce's $25 pack costs less than eight of the eleven tools priced here, counting LeadMagic at its Essential plan. Reoon and Truelist packs are lower, and so are three unit costs: WizLeads Freelancer, WizLeads Kingpin quarterly and LeadMagic Ultimate. At 100,000, the Truelist ($90) and Reoon ($116.40) packs and the WizLeads Kingpin quarterly unit cost ($59.95) are lower, and MillionVerifier ($149) is higher. At 1,000,000, the MillionVerifier ($449) and Truelist ($700) packs are under DeBounce's $750, and so is the WizLeads Kingpin quarterly unit cost ($599.50).

Run one sample through two or three tools and mail what each approves.
When to stay on DeBounce
You mail opt-in lists you collected yourself. That is the only case DeBounce's guarantee covers, and its 0.15% was the lowest bounce rate of the six tools we tested.
You verify in bursts. Purchased DeBounce credits never expire, while WizLeads credits roll over for one billing period, NeverBounce credits last 12 months and Kickbox credits one year.
You clean 10,000 addresses once. DeBounce's $25 is below the $39 a WizLeads Freelancer month bills, and below every other pack priced here except Reoon and Truelist.
Switch when your lists come from a data vendor, catch-alls are a large share of them, and you want a verdict rather than a flag. If rejections are why you are leaving, run the same 1,000-address sample through DeBounce and one alternative, then mail what each approves before you buy. If none of the five fits, the best email verification tools list ranks 14 verifiers, and any of them can go into the same sample.
